"I bought the book, but it's just been piled up in the corner of my desk." Surely everyone has had this experience. Stacked books eventually blend into the scenery, and we miss our chance to read them.
But what if those piled-up books could become the most beautiful object in your room?
The "Anywhere Book Case," co-developed by Aoyama Book Center and TENT, is no ordinary book stand. It's a device that gives the "books you should read" — scattered around your room — a VIP seat of their own.

The Anywhere Book Case is a small, portable bookshelf that holds about 5 to 10 books.
Its construction combines two contrasting materials: a thick acrylic body paired with a stainless steel handle. Its defining feature is its size. Rather than a massive bookshelf that holds thousands of volumes, it's intentionally limited to a size that holds "only a few books."
This forces the user to carefully curate just "the books I want to read this weekend" or "the books I want to reference for work." More than a piece of storage furniture, it's a "physical playlist" for editing your thoughts and carrying them with you.

At first glance, the fluorescent yellow acrylic looks bold. But once you actually place books inside, the design's intent becomes clear.
- Why fluorescent yellow: It's the signature color of Aoyama Book Center, while also functioning as an accent for your room. It has a curious power to make any book — manga, magazines, anything — look like a piece of art.
- The meaning of the stainless steel handle: It looks delicate, but it's plenty rigid. You can lift it easily with one hand, making it stress-free whether you're cleaning or moving from room to room.
- High transparency: Because the spines of the books are visible through the case, accessibility (visibility) to the contents is never obstructed.
This isn't "hidden storage" — it's confidently "displayed storage." You can sense a deep respect for books as content in this approach.

This product has a "hidden feature" that reveals the developers' love for books. It's the "display function" that uses the handle and slits on the top.
By slipping a book you're currently reading or one with a favorite cover into the gap of the handle, you can show off the cover face-out (front-facing display). This serves exactly the same role as the "Now Playing" shelf at a record shop.
"I'm reading this book right now." Just by holding up the cover this way, your motivation to read mysteriously rises, and the atmosphere of your room takes on a more intellectual feel.

This product is recommended for all book lovers, but it will especially resonate with the following types of people:
- People with lots of "tsundoku" (unread piles): Use it as an "unread box" for temporarily storing books you've bought, and your reading rate will dramatically improve.
- People who read all over the house: Those who want to move their bookshelf along with them — living room by day, bedside by night.
- People who want a sense of "negative space" in their interior: Those who want to deliberately place a neon-colored object among rooms full of wooden furniture, tightening up the space.

What did you think?
We live in an era where e-books are widespread and you can read anything on your smartphone. And yet, the reason we still buy "paper books" is because we love them — including their texture and physical presence — isn't it?
The Anywhere Book Case rescues those beloved books from the depths of the bookshelf. Pick a few favorites, grab the handle, and take them wherever you like. Just that simple act should make the experience of reading more free and more effortless.
