When you work from your living room, what's the biggest source of noise? It's the "domestic clutter" that catches your eye while working, and conversely, the "work tools" you see when you're trying to relax.
What today's rooms — where on and off blur together — really need might be a physical "divider." Developed by TENT and Koshin Sangyo, "WALL FOR ONE" is, as its name suggests, "a wall for one person."
But it's no ordinary wall. It rolls anywhere on casters, and transforms into a desk, a shelf, or a display. Less a piece of furniture, more a "mobile OS" you install inside your home.

WALL FOR ONE is, at its core, a tall, slim wagon standing about 97 cm high.
Its structure is highly distinctive. A sturdy steel frame has "pegboards" mounted on either side. Viewed from the side, it forms an "I" shape, and this slender silhouette eliminates any sense of bulk no matter where you place it in the room.
Particularly noteworthy is its height. At 97 cm, it's perfectly positioned to work as a counter for standing chats or as a standing desk. Set down your PC and reply to emails. Brew a coffee. Anything that "isn't quite worth sitting down for" — this single piece handles it all.

This form packs in the metalworking craftsmanship of Tsubame-Sanjo and TENT's logical design.
- The concept of two sides (A-side / B-side): With pegboards on both sides, you can assign one face to "work" (PC and stationery) and the other to "hobbies" (plants and tools). Just spin it around, and the room's function switches in an instant.
- Center-of-gravity control: Tall furniture often raises tipping concerns, but the steel frame's low center of gravity keeps it rock-steady even during PC work.
- Obsession with texture: The materials differ by color. GRAY uses a stone-like textured finish on MDF board, while BLACK and WHITE feature a gritty finish on ABS board. To blend seamlessly into any interior, even the screw heads are painted in matching colors — that's how thorough the finish is.

Using WALL FOR ONE changes how you move around the house.
In the morning, roll it to the window for some standing work. At noon, wheel it into the kitchen and use it as a side table. At night, move it next to the sofa and use it as a projector stand.
Instead of fixing a "place," the furniture follows your movements. And when work is done, just flip the board around. With that single motion, the PC vanishes from your sight, and only your favorite objects remain in view. This "physical mode switch" may well be the key to relieving the stress of working from home.

This product is especially recommended for modern lifestyles facing challenges like these:
- People without a study: Those who want to turn a corner of the living room into a "cockpit" only when needed.
- The standing-work crowd: Those who don't quite need a full sit-stand desk, but still want a space where they can work on their feet.
- Fans of open display storage: Those who want to use pegboard hooks to arrange gadgets and tools beautifully on display.

What did you think?
WALL FOR ONE is more than just a storage piece. Work and life. Kitchen and living room. Stillness and movement. It stands like a "traffic signal" placed where all of these intersect.
Which side will I face today? With just that one choice, the way you live today becomes yours to freely change.
